This 24 series stamp collection was published on 20 May 1962. The stamps showcase various Indonesia landmarks related to the event such as Hotel Indonesia ,Main Stadium, and many of the sports events.

These stamps were introduced during the time when Indonesia’s rupiah was plunging in value due to hyper-inflation of 174% in 1962, which continued to in increase to 600% in 1965 leading to the introduction of the “new rupiah” in December 1965 at a rate of 1000 rupiah to the old unit.

For context, the values printed on these 1962 stamp series is on the old rupiah unit.

While sorting through Dad’s stamps, there were many Mint 5 x 10 (50) stamp sheets of this series.

This gallery showcases Dad’s collection of the INDONESIA1962 Asian Games IV mint unmounted stamp sheets all 5 by 10 (50). So far I have found 23 out of the 24 in the entire series; missing the Water Polo 6Rp series. Update 19 Mar 2022: Found the Water Polo series!
